How to Delete Media

VIDIZMO allows users to delete uploaded media files from a portal. When media is deleted, the content is removed from the portal and storage.

For content integrity purposes, deleted content is retained for 30 days by default. This retention period is configurable. See How to Set Retention Period for Deleted Content.

Prerequisites​

Ensure you belong to a group with the Upload and manage all content permission enabled.

Delete Media​

  1. In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Media Manager.
  2. Select Delete from the overflow menu of the media.
  3. In the confirmation popup, select Delete to proceed.
  4. If the media is used in a Playlist or Collection, an additional notification appears before deletion.

A message confirms: "Media is successfully submitted for deletion."

NOTE:

  • Deletion may take time depending on the content size. A workflow executes in the background.
  • If the media is shared on other portals or with users, it becomes unavailable to them after deletion.

Delete Multiple Media​

  1. In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Media Manager.
  2. Select multiple media files using the checkbox on each item.
  3. Select Delete from the top action menu.
  4. In the confirmation popup, select Delete to proceed.
